My name is Claude and I am now considered a Forever Foster dog. I am still up for adoption and I have my very own Petfinder page, so please consider me to be a part of your family. I am an older gentleman and that’s why I am now a Forever Foster. Here’s my original Fluff of the Week story. Do you think I could be a special part of your life? If so, please email my foster mom at sherry352@sbcglobal.net.
Claude
Are you looking for a mature gentleman? One who is well-mannered, gentle and loving? I may be the one for you!!! My name is Claude and I am a 10 year old Lhasa Apso who weighs about 18 pounds. I know I am older than some of my foster brothers and sisters, but I feel that I deserve to live the rest of my life in my very own forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself, so you know how special I am.
Although I see okay, I do need to have my foster mom put eye drops in my eyes daily for dry eye. I also have part of one of my ears missing. My foster mom thinks that I may have been in either an accident or was attacked as I have some other scarring besides my missing ear. I am definitely not a fighter so mom thinks that I may have been around the wrong dog at the wrong time. I am actually very loving and gentle. I sometimes like to romp and play with my foster brothers and sisters but I like to pick the time to play. My specific duty at the house is to greet all the new dogs and make them feel welcome.
I also don’t have any front teeth, so when it comes to eating I get to eat from a regular dinner plate rather than a dog bowl. That makes me feel very special. I know when my foster mom is in the kitchen preparing all of our meals and I am ready and waiting at the gate to come in. I am very patient and wait my turn for dinner. Once I have finished my meal, I patiently wait for someone to let me back into the living area to be with all my doggie friends. I never bark and make a ruckus to go back. Mom says that I am a very good boy.
I am definitely a lap dog or maybe I could be called a “foot dog” as I will sit by your feet for as long as you let me. I am very devoted to my foster mom and the family and I love to be wherever they are.
I am doing very well with my house training. I wear a belly-band as I used to have accidents in the house. Whenever my foster family takes me outside I do my business and come right back in. If I am let out often enough, I have no accidents.
Please consider me as the older man in your life. I promise I will be a faithful and loving companion. Email my foster mom at sherry352@sbcglobal.net for more information. And, please check out my Petfinder page.
I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots and am heartworm negative.

Terry James – Forever Foster
My name is Terry and I am now a Forever Foster dog. I am still up for adoption, but I know I need a special family and home. And, I know that it will be harder for me to find my forever home. I am safe and quite happy in my foster home, but if you think you might be able to find a place for me in your life, please contact my foster mom at sherry352@sbcglobal.net. You can also cehck out my Petfinder page for even more information about me.
Here’s my original story when I was featured as the Fluff of the Week. If there isn’t a place for me in your home, maybe you would consider helping my foster family with my care, by donating to the Forever Foster fund.
——————————–
Am I cute or what? My name is Terry James and I am a 5 year old beige and white Shih Tzu male looking for his forever home. I weigh about 14 pounds. I have one eye due to an old injury. Unfortunately, I have recently become blind in that eye. The veterinarian told my foster mom that my retina has separated from the back of my eye and caused total blindness. I am adjusting to this slowly and I now need lots of love and attention from the volunteers at Lone Star to help me conquer this hurdle. I know I can do it and my foster mom tells me that once I know the lay of the land and my daily routine, I will be fine. I want to be with my foster mom and the other volunteers now more than I ever did before as I continue to learn.
I am not the perfect dog, and now that I am blind it would be best if I were the only dog in my forever home so that I can get all the pets and cuddles that I want!! I would probably do fine in a home with another dog that is very quiet and laid back that would not mind my bumping into him occasionally.
My favorite thing to do is to be with my foster mom and the family. I get along with my foster brothers and sisters as long as they leave me alone – I don’t pay very much attention to them normally. My foster mom says there should be no children in my forever house. Because I am now totally blind, children might scare me as I need a quiet, stable environment. And, although I now mind my manners pretty well, I have a history of being naughty. I am pretty good now, though, honestly! I also LOVE to get treats and I especially like to get little bits of whatever my foster mom happens to be eating!! I would love a lap of my own to cuddle in. Please give me a chance! I have gone through months of rehabilitation to become the better mannered little dog I am now.
If you are looking for an extra special little guy in your life, please contact my foster mom at sherry352@sbcglobal.net. I know she has all the goods on me that she would be happy to tell you about. Also, please look at my Petfinder page and you will see more pictures of me.
I am altered, up to date on all my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.
