Hello again!  WOW, this is the third time that I will be featured on the Forever Foster page.  Pretty cool for me don’t you think?  I’ve been through a lot and you can read about me here: http://lonestarshihtzurescue.com/ForeverFoster/2008/11/11/case-update/ and also here:  http://lonestarshihtzurescue.com/ForeverFoster/2008/04/ .  I’ve gotten so much better and have not had very many seizures at all.  Since my medication was changed in November, I’ve gotten better and better each month.  I still have seizures, but they are very far apart now and they have been very mild.  That is a VERY GOOD thing!!!

But, let me tell you about what has come into my life.  PUPPIES!!!  My mom and dad are fostering Shih Tzu puppies and I absolutely LOVE them!  Can you see in the picture how I am getting kisses from one of them?  Mom calls me a Gentle Giant when I am with them.  I love to play with them and I let them climb all over me and I climb all over them.  We have a great time.   I like to think that I am their live-in “puppy-sitter”.  Mom says that I keep them occupied for a long time and she told me that she appreciates that!

I’m still up for adoption if there is that special family out there who will take care of me forever.  I know I am a bit of a challenge medically, which is why I am a Forever Foster.  But, I am also just like a big teddy bear.  I’m cuddly and sweet with my human friends as well as my foster brothers and sisters.  And, of course, I do love the puppies.

Please consider me for your home.  You can contact my foster mom at sherry352@sbcglobal.net  and you can look at my very own Petfinder page.

I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots and am heartworm negative.

GARRETT – I’VE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

Hello again!  Remember me?  I was just featured as a Forever Foster on March 8, 2009, but so much has happened to me since then.  Read my little write-up from March 8 so you can learn about my past.  But now, I really want to tell you about my life in my new “Forever Foster Home”.

I now live with a Shih Tzu sibling and a wonderful foster Mom and Dad.  They have taken me in and given me all the love and attention that I need.  I really loved my first foster home and my foster parents took wonderful care of me, but there was always lots going on there.  I still live in Arizona, so if my first foster family wants to visit, they can.  My new home is much quieter and I have really enjoyed that and all the attention that I am getting.  Did you see the picture of me in my new little bed?  I have put on a bit of weight and I am happy as a clam.  My foster parents think I look great at 12 pounds.

My favorite thing to do is to take walks.  I walk really well on a leash and would go out on walks three or four times a day if I could.  I still favor my injured leg a bit, but that does not slow me down one bit.  Now that it’s getting hot here, I have to stick to early morning walks.  That’s not a problem as I am an early riser and wake when the sun comes up.  My foster mom and dad don’t get to sleep in any more!  I love my little bed and am happy sleeping there at night and during the day for an occasional nap.

I particularly like my foster mom and I follow her around the house all day.  She gives me lots of cuddles and pets in the evening when we are relaxing.  She also combs my hair and that feels so good.  I do a little happy dance when she is finished so that she knows I appreciate all that she is doing.  Don’t get me wrong, I also love my foster dad, but if Mom is around, she’s the one I want to be with.

My life is just great now and I am very happy in my new home.  I just want everyone to know that.
