URGENT NEED
Ishmael Oak
Severe heart murmur and
extremely bad Upper Respiratory
My name is Ishmael Oak.  Boy, I just about
didn't make it.  The rescue picked me up a few
weeks ago just in the nick of time and I was in
horrible shape.  I have a 5/6 grade heart
murmur and a bad upper respiratory
infection.  Geez, I had to stay in the hospital
on IV's for almost a week.

I was released to my foster home just a few
days ago.  She thinks I look a little better and
my tail tries to way, but I still have a ways to
go.

I ran up a pretty big bill while I was in the
hospital and now I need to pay it.  I know the
rescue is hoping a few of you might be able to
help me with it.  I know the rescue is always
asking you for help, but you know they love us
so much and just really want to save all of us.
All the money you donate for us is sent to
the vets for our bills, you know.  No one at
the rescue gets any pay for anything.

Email from Ishmael's foster mom.
"This little guy is great.  He is such a good little boy.
His cough is almost completely gone.  He does still have
an occasional fit with it but not anything like what was
described to me when he was at the vet and it's only
about 1 time a day.   And he LOVES to eat.  Last night I
was mixing up their dinner and they were all sitting there
waiting.  I heard one of them start to bark that I did not
recognize and turned around and there he was jumping up
and barking for me to hurry.  I can see improvement
everyday and it's just so great.  He does have some
things going on that I want to talk to Dr. Maxwell about
when we go back and I know he has a ways to go but I just
love him and Jacque is dying for him to be strong enough
to play.  I am still keeping him crated during the day so
he does not over do it when I am not here although he is
more on the laid back side.  If I can't find him he is in
one of the bedrooms sitting quietly by himself.  He will be
totally adoptable and I know someone will eventually meet
him and fall in love just like I have.
