My name is Concho and I am a beautiful 1 ½ year old Shih Tzu boy. My coat has very unusual coloring. It is tan and charcoal brindle with white markings and everyone says I am quite handsome!

I am very vocal and will talk, talk, talk. My foster mom and dad are learning all my little sounds. I can bark, squeak, grunt, make a sound like a seal and also cry! I think it’s kind of fun watching Mom and Dad try to figure out what I am telling them! Basically, I am a good guy, cuddly and sweet and happy to be here. Watch for my Petfinder page soon!

TULIP

My name is Tulip and I am a very lucky 5 year old Shih Tzu girl. I never knew that a dog could have a good life. You see, I was a puppy mill dog, living in a crate and having babies. Then the wonderful folks at Lone Star found me. I now have a foster family to love me and take care of me. I am still very scared and skittish and even the littlest sound scares me a bit. But, I’ve just been in foster care for 2 weeks so I’ve got a lot to learn.

I do know that walks around the block, treats, and sitting in my foster mom’s lap are things I never experienced before. And I know that I LOVE them! My goal is to just be a happy dog. It may be a while before you see me on Petfinder and before I’m ready for adoption, but I guarantee you, it will be worth the wait!

Hello! My name is Yuma and I am a very sweet Lhasa Apso lad. I am 10 years old and I weigh 15 pounds. I am pretty healthy except that I can’t hear very well. I’ve had a lot of turmoil in my life the past few weeks, but now I am in a wonderful foster home in Arizona and I love it. I was abandoned by my original family, turned into the Yuma, Arizona Humane Society, and luckily wound up at Lone Star. WOW! I love my foster mom and I follow her around the house all the time. She says that I am her little shadow, but I found if I follow her she ALWAYS stops to give me pets. What a great life.

I will be on Petfinder soon, so watch for me. I’ll be ready for my forever home and my very own family to follow around in no time at all!!

My name is Brazos and I am one lucky little guy. I am an 18-24 month old, long, tall Texan boy and I weigh in at about 13 pounds. I was rescued by the wonderful volunteers at Lone Star and now I have a second chance on life. My new foster mom says that I am a perfect little guy. I even know what “Let’s go to bed” means. My first night in my foster home I ran right into the bedroom, and jumped up on the bed. After everyone was asleep, I then moved to my special spot on the floor.

Watch for my Petfinder page. I hope to be ready for adoption very soon!
