WATERMELON

Watermelon 1st after photo

My name is Watermelon and I am so happy to be a Lone Star dog. I was in one of the local shelters with 5 more of my friends after being left there by a breeder who did not care about us. I was washed and shaved and now I am loved. That’s all very new to me. I’m a Senior dog, don’t have much vision, and just want to live out the rest of my life being happy. This is what I looked like when I first came to Lone Star.

Don’t I look much better now? I sure do feel better!! If you think I might be perfect for you, please watch for my Petfinder page.

ARTHUR CAPERS

Arthur

My name is Arthur and I am a 4-5 year old Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix. My former family had a baby and now they do not feel that I am a good fit in their home, so I’m REALLY looking for what I hope to be my forever home. I do have a bit of Lhasatude so it would be best if my forever family understood my breed and my needs. I really prefer to be around women as I was mistreated by a man in the past, so I would love to find a home with one or two women to take care of me. I think a home with a quiet retired couple might suit me just fine too. I am a bit shy, but I also love to play. I would toss around my Frisbee and my ball all day if my foster mom would let me. I get along with other dogs, so another easy-going dog in the house would be great too! And to top it off – I’m housetrained! What more could you ask for?

You can read all about me on my Petfinder page and you can also contact my foster mom at sherry352@sbcglobal.net

Pepperoni

My name is Pepperoni and I am new to Lone Star. I am VERY happy to be here, but I sure don’t look like the other dogs who are in the rescue! I am a 5 year old Tibetan Spaniel and I am pretty darn cute even though I don’t resemble the rest of them! I am a sweet boy, house trained and my coat is very, very soft! I get along well with the other dogs in my foster house and I love to play. Warren Barker and I have become best buds! I also like to play with children. I will soon be up for adoption so please watch for me. I am heartworm positive so I have to take medicine and get a clean bill of health before I am ready to go.

Mosby
My name is Mosby and I am a 5-6 year old Lhasa Apso boy. I have a beautiful brown, red, and white coat that will be long soon! I was one lucky lad when I found the volunteers at Lone Star. They have taken very good care of me and now you can see by my picture that I am a very handsome guy!! I will be ready for adoption soon – check out my Petfinder page for more information about me. I am one special guy who has been through quite a bit. I’m ready for my forever home!
