Gingerbread Worth – very broken little girl
The message came like they all do “URGENT, paralyzed lhasa girl needs out NOW.”
The little beauty had been sitting in a DFW area shelter for over two weeks and no one else offered to take her in. Then the shelter volunteer sent me the picture and it was over.
We arranged to bring her to Houston and have her evaluated at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists to see if they could work the same magic they worked on Monkey and Pate.
It was a RUSH and we had to do it before I could get the story written and see if this was what we wanted to do.
Well, unfortunately, her back could not be fixed. IN fact, the little girl had already had a back surgery sometime in the past that was not successful. She will never walk. But, thanks to Nancy Doyle at the rehab center at Gulf Coast, we now have a little wheel cart for her and she is learning how to wheel around the Deogi Daycare center now!!
Of course, we incurred a lot of expense running the tests – we had to do the myleogram and CT scan. The total, with our substantial discount was just under $2500. Plus her little cart was $340.
We certainly do want to continue to be able to help the little fluffers that have no other options, but can only do it with your help.
Please help us pay off little Gingerbread’s bills so we can move forward.
Please help little Gingerbread.
